Few men had the audacity to influence the Church with such broad fervour as Bill Britton did. This man was driven to guide a nation "through the veil" and was engrossed in God's goals, believed that the splendour to come would surpass the hardships of this age. He carried the message of the Gospel of the Kingdom across the world until the day of his death. Later connected to the Pentecostal Latter-Rain Movement and regarded by some as a movement prophet, he was ordained as a pastor of the Assemblies of God in 1949. 1949 as a pastor of a church in Highland View, Florida; 1950s as a part-time minister and evangelist; 1962–85 as a preacher and administrator at Overcomer Ministry in Springfield, Missouri. Took part in evangelistic travels around the world and made radio appearances. Served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a signalman during World War II.
